Many of us have heard how the 25% tariffs on Chinese goods have hurt businesses small and large. The 25% tariff charge on Chinese goods is seen by many economists as excessive and damaging to the economy.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, companies like Vivacity Sportswear, have been forced to halt manufacturing. Vivacity Sportswear has been paying 25% tariffs on one-third of its materials and due to the lack of demand they have seen revenue drop by 80% within the last two months. Even larger businesses, like Macy’s and Gap, have rallied together to ask President Trump for an extension on tariff payments so they can get a handle of their cash flow.
